Before you start
You need an existing FIRCY account and permission to add apps or custom MCP connections in your ChatGPT workspace. A workspace administrator may need to enable this feature. FIRCY does not grant additional permissions when you connect.
Connect
- Open Plugins in ChatGPT, then choose Add → Add custom MCP server. If FIRCY is already available in your directory, open its listing instead.
- Enter FIRCY as its name and
https://mcp.fircy.com/mcpas the Server URL. Keep OAuth selected. Read the custom-server notice, then choose Create as a plugin. - Choose Continue to FIRCY and follow the browser sign-in using your existing FIRCY account.
- Review the account, return destination and requested read access. Keep Stay connected after signing out selected if you want automatic renewal, then choose Allow connection.
- When ChatGPT confirms the connection, open View details → Try in chat. With FIRCY selected, ask: “Check my FIRCY connection and look up the public IP 1.1.1.1.”
The connection uses your existing FIRCY permissions. You do not need an API key, a client secret, or a locally installed server. Menu labels can vary by workspace.
Custom app controls vary by workspace and ChatGPT plan. If you cannot find them, ask your workspace administrator or check OpenAI’s guide to custom MCP connectors in ChatGPT. A directory listing is not required to use an authorised custom connection.
What success looks like
The connection-status result confirms that FIRCY is connected. A useful answer then refers to the activity and time range retrieved. “No matching activity” can be a valid result; it does not mean authentication failed.
Reconnect or remove access
If prompted to sign in again, repeat the consent flow. To revoke access, open FIRCY AI connections and choose Disconnect. Also remove the app from ChatGPT if you no longer want it shown there.
